Texas Cottage Food Operation

Night Owl Coffee operates under Texas Cottage Food Laws. We can only ship within the state of Texas. All coffee is roasted in a home kitchen that has not been subject to standard commercial food safety inspections that apply to commercial food establishments.

Food Safety Commitment: The owner maintains current Texas Food Handler Certification (Certificate #0086609, issued 8/6/2023) and follows strict food safety protocols throughout the roasting and packaging process.

Shipping & Delivery

Local Delivery: FREE within 10 miles of Richardson, TX (usually delivered on Sundays)

Texas Shipping: $8 flat rate shipping anywhere in Texas via USPS Priority Mail

Free Shipping: Orders of 4+ bags ship FREE anywhere in Texas

Payment Terms

• Payment required via Venmo before roasting and delivery

• Scan the QR code provided - $14 price will auto-fill

• Payment confirms your order and roast preferences

Custom Roasting Process

• All coffee is roasted fresh to order based on your specific taste preferences

• Please complete our Roast Preference Form for optimal results

• Roasting typically takes place within 2-3 days of order confirmation

• Each 454g batch yields approximately 14oz of finished coffee after roasting

Order Fulfillment

• Orders are processed in the sequence received

• Local deliveries are typically made on Sundays

• Shipped orders go out via USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days within Texas)

• You will be notified when your coffee has been roasted and is ready for delivery/shipment
